i used to post on here years ago when i was going through some stuff, then i ended up having my kids dropped off on my doorstep by their mother so it was like i got all prepared and upset for nothing. well they stayed with me up until mom came back from Atl in 2004. of course persuaded by the allure of rentacenter xboxes and the notion that you are supposed to be with your momma.... But when they were dropped off on my doorstep, i had her sign a paper that was notorized and even went to court to cut off my CS. she didn't show up, and of course i got the CS stopped. in the paper, in her handwriting it says to cut off child support due to the children living with me until other circumstances occur. when she came back, we never went and re-did any paperwok, for all anyone knows they still live here. so in the mail today was a letter from the Co. Atty for 700 a month support. Does anyone have any advice as to what i can do? like i said, as far as anyone is concerned, downtown they live with me. can the fact that we never changed the status of the papers i have at the moment help me? i am kind of at a loss. do i go downtown to the same county atty to file back support from the date on the papers we signed up until now? Do i try to get an atty to get my kids removed from her? she really can't provide, she never works, has 3 other kids(total 5) by 3 other guys, one kid is handicapped as well and her boyfriend has been in trouble with the law, and my son has seen him smoking "something" other than cigarettes (ie; crack) i would appreciate any words of advice, this just sucks. i am 32 and feel i may end up cryin to my momma to get me a lawyer, etc. I also have IRS trouble due to her selling, loaning out whatever my kids' SS#'s when we agreed (of course only verbally) to certain terms. thanks.
