My husband and i are having problems finding a lawer in the uk and dont know where else to turn.My husbands ex who he was never married but lived together went to live in oz,his son was 11 at the time.My husband had always paid maintanace and had signed over there house and payed the morgage for them while they lived in the uk then when his ex sold the house he had no monies from the profit as he said this was for his son.In this time while they lived in the uk he had his son to live with him for a piriod of 12mths as his ex could not cope with him and my husbands mother looked after him while my husband was in work they were all extreamly close. My husband went to a solicitors and had legal documents written up so that he could be reasured that the contact with his son and the contact with his parents and son would continue. He went over to oz twice in 12mths and has paid off a loan and other debts they left when the moved.since we were married 12mths ago his ex has stopped all contact and we had to get the goverment involeved as we didnt even know where his son was as she moved house and changed her number.his ex has now told my husband that she wants a dna test, and yet the csa in oz will not leave my husband alone they keep writing letters stating that we owe them thousands and thousands of dollars.they also call us at 5.30m in the morning stating that they will take this money from his wages, even tho he dose not earn that much.they have told us that it makes no diffrence that my husband signed over the house, payed the morgage for them,a loan, and also sent over 5000 pounds for them when they moved with her new partner.where do we go for help? how do we sort out the dna test that she wants?and how do we sort out going to court to get joint custody for his son?everywhere we turn people dont seem to know we have spent hundreds of pounds going to oz and on solicitors.
I wounder if this was a father who had broken a fundermental rule of law/moral justice dissapearing with a child and not allowing contact with its mother would we not all be up in arms.At the heart of all this is a son who is loved by both parents but who is now not having any contact with his father, his grandparents aunties and uncles who has been ripped from the world he knew with family that love him.And it seems his father has no rights at all.
