is that LEGALLY docs do not hae final say in medical matters parents due. This has been upheld time and time again. Doctor ADVICE is just that ADVICE not law. Yes there is a medical neglect cause BUT the state will have to PROVE that dad was intentionally trying to do harm and that the harm he was doing was great enough to interfer with his parental rights. Dad can argue several things in his defense.

the biggest issue will be if HE was properly informed of ALL relevant medical discussions and observations.

My ODD dislocated her knee cap in the middle of 8th grade basketball, she was FINALLY getting playing time but wasn't on the A team. Doc agreed to let her play even though normally he wouldn't. the doctor understood that she wouldn't be able to start in highschool in fact she didn't even make the team. When dealing with a child you sometimes have to look at the bigger picture of BOTH psycial and mental.

As for the wife. NO nurses don't always know better that depends on the training they recieve and exp. DH's ex is a CNA but she makes HORRIBLE medical descisions in my mind.
