How long have they been divorced? Has mom always had custody? Are there any other siblings? Is mom remarried? How long have you been in the picture? How far apart do the two families live? Can mom make ends meet without child support? Is she afraid you are going to ask for child support? Could a shared parenting arrangement be done so that neither parent is classified as the "non-custodial" parent?
