When the system is involved, there's not much you can do. My husband went to court and they said pay $500, and your good to go, no jail. Before that, gets a letter, that tells him he's going to lose his llcense unless he pays $500. So, after court, he pays the $500. Judge didn't say $1000! But, child support told him one lump sum didn't have anything to do with the other! They play with the system, but they have the power. Judges can't override their decisions, and they can't override judges decisions.
