If I remember correctly, I believe the residency requirement is 6months. Since this just happened, you should still have jurisdiction in YOUR state. SHE'LL have to travel. Also, I doubt her lawyer can represent her without her present as well. The summons will be for HER, not her lawyer. The only time I've known the parent to NOT have to be present is when I took my ex to court for childsupport and custody. He was in the military and stationed in Germany....I'm not expert, just experiences I've had. Best of luck to you.
