Ok, so my husband relocated with his job. He currently has custody of his 10 yr. old twins. His ex girlfriend- the kids mom, refuses to meet us half way- which would be about 45 miles for us all to drive. What should we do? We have offered to meet her closer her way when we are going to be up that way. But when we arent going anwyhere- we have simply asked for her to meet us. she only has them everyother weekend and thats it. and we told her when she switches weekends or wants extra time- which i have told her several times is ok if we dont have plans... then she needs to provide rides. she says she will NEVER drive here to get them or drop them off. do we just give in to what she says? or do we stick to it and if she wont come half way- then she doesnt take them? we didn't move out of state and nothing in the custody papers does it say we provide rides. just wondering how travel time works and who has to do it.... any opinions or legal answers would be great... what if she threatens to take it to court?
