we live in MN. it was about 25 minutes or so before. now total distance it is 98 from her house to ours. from her work to our home is about 20 miles less. BUT we arent asking her to drive the whole 98 miles. just half way. she cant really afford to change custody- she didnt even live in the same school district anyways- so what would that do? she lives with a friend at her friends townhome right now- its a 2 bdrm place and the twins are a boy and a girl... where would they sleep? i do not want her to drive that whole way- but 45 minutes each way isnt asking too much is it? she hasnt had to do it yet cuz the weekends they went there- we were going to have plans up her way anyways so we met her up by her place. we have offered...or i mean i have offered to have her take them. she just makes up excuses and says she works or have this or that. so it isnt that shes losing the time- she doesnt wanna drive to get them. i totally get that it sucks they lost their mid week visits- like u said your husband and u lost with his child... BUT if she isnt even trying to get more time... why should i keep pushing it on her? The ONLY time she has had them when she wasnt to- was one day for 4 hours that I- their step mom had arranged....
